The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year !

Bikpela hamamas blong dispela Krismas na Nupela yia i go long yu !

#It'sSnowingInMyBubble !

Today is Christmas Eve which is my most favouritist, everrest, happiest, bestest day of the year ! A lot of people see December as the build up to Christmas day itself but I find Christmas eve is when people are at their happiest, most thankful, kindest and like it for the spirit and being around their family and friends not for presents :) So I spent today listening to Mcfly, Scrolling through pinterest, drinking hot chocolates and being happy :)

I hope you are also happy <3

Today's Merry Christmas is from Papua New Guinea where in remote villages Christmas day sometimes passes by like any other day !

Dude, Where's My Donkey ?

Maligayang Pasko !                  #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

Ever since the first Nativity film I've loved Mr Poppy ... who is worryingly similar to me :/ So when I heard about the release of Nativity 3 ' Dude, Where's My Donkey ? ' I've been desperate to see it ! And today I managed to drag my boyfriend to the cinema where he could have 3 hours of 'fun' watching me be extremely hyper on the whole bag of toffee popcorn I may or may not of ate all by myself annnddd the pick and mix which has way more E-Numbers than I should ever be allowed near, especially when I'm in an already excitable Christmas mood ... In a kids Christmas film :D Isn't my boyfriend ever so lucky ;)

Although this Nativity 3 wasn't as feel good as the first 2 in my opinion ( It made me cry twice ) It did have a really sweet, slightly cheesy ( Okay more than slightly ) story line which just proved that really, "All you need is faith, trust and PIXIE DUST " :) I also absolutely loved the casting of Martin Clones and Catherine Tate making me happy and leaving me laughing uncontrollably as usual :) I would definitely recommend this fun, family film because .. snow pigs <3

What I learnt from The Grinch ...

Melkam Gena !                    #It'sSnowingInMyBubbleXx

One of our favorite quotes, from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. http://www.people.com/people/package/gallery/0,,20319528_20760228,00.htmlToday I wanted to talk a bout a well loved book written by a well loved man, Dr.Seuss . 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' was published in 1957 and hasn't been put down since ! This charming book comes with many important messages about how Christmas is becoming increasingly commercialised as we spend more and more money on presents, decorations and food. This year I spent around £250 on presents and other Christmas bits and bobs, On the Save The Children website I found that that £250 could of bought enough hygiene kits to aid 10 families !

Although their are many wonderful, inspiring and thought provoking quotes written by Dr.Seuss of which I will be sure to write posts on in the near future , There is one that stands out in 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' That reads " And the Grinch, with his Grinch feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so ? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags . And he puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was saw. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store ? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more ?"

So with that quote in mind I wanted to let you know about Save The Children's charitable gifts that actually spreads the present from the recipient to children who need it most :) Their are loads of presents from a place in school for one child at £21 to a Health Workers First Aid Kit at £47 , there is  loads to chose from to warm anyone of any ages heart :)

Easy Presents For Difficult People ! #3 Christmas Eve Box :)

Chuc Mung Giang Sinh !          #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

So this will be at least the third time I've spoken about how absolutely impossible men are to buy for .... but today I have a solution ! This would would work for nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, girlfriends or boyfriends or ANYONE ! Everything in these boxes is personal to who you're making them for :) I originally decided to make this for my boyfriend as a way to get him Pyjamas because everyone should have Pyjamas, they're the most amazing and important thing ever invented !!! :D Anywaayyyy .... back to the subject ;) So I've spent the last few months finding bits and bobs to put together his very own,

Christmas Eve Box !

What you will need :
  • Their favourite DVD or just a film that you know they will like ... or you would like to steal from them in the near future ;)
  • Their Favourite Chocolate
  • Their Favourite Popcorn
  • A box ( I bought this Batman one for £6.99 at The Works but I'm sure you can get cheaper ))
  • Their Favourite Pringles
  • Any sweets that they like ( I found a Harry Potter Chocolate frog with a wizard card )
  • Christmas Crackers
  • Candy Canes
  • Presents
  • Mini Santa Sack / Bag
  • Pyjamas
  • Christmas Card
  • Tinsel
  • Popcorn Holder ( £2.99 at Harkins Baazar )

1) Layer tinsel around the bottom of your box for the sparkly ness required in any Christmassy thing ! :)

2) Put the popcorn into the popcorn holder and arrange in the box with the DVD, PJ's, chocolates, crisps, sweets and any other little goodies that you think they might need for the perfect Christmas eve :) You could make a DIY Hot Chocolate kit and pop that in as well ! <3

3) Wrap your presents ( I chose very manly paper for my boyfriend as you can see ;) ) And pop them into the mini Santa sack and arrange them in the box :)

4) Sprinkle your box with crackers and candy canes, add your card ( don't forget to write it first ... I had to unwrap and re-wrap the whole thing three times because of forgetting to do things like that ! )

Now just pop the lid on and wrap the box up, try my " Always time for a bow - wrapping DIY " and give the recipient instructions to keep the box upright and that they can open it and have anything that's not wrapped on Christmas eve :)

Enjoy !

Today's Merry Christmas is in Vietnamese , In Vietnam on Christmas Eve the Christians would attend a midnight Mass. After Church people would return to their homes for the most important meal the Christmas supper. The dinner usually consisted of chicken soup, and wealthier people ate turkey and Christmas Pudding.

There's Always time for a bow ! DIY

Shub Naya Baras !                 #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

After watching Arthur Christmas on repeat for the last three months, I have realised that although "There's always time for a bow " ... I can't tie bows ! So I found a solution on my trusty source of Pinterest and thought I'd show you how you could do the same if you are as incompetent with ribbon as me but still want to wrap your presents easily so they will impress :)

There's Always Time For a Bow - Wrapping Ideas

What you will need :

  • 1 Black Pen ( I got mine for £1 in the works )
  • A roll of brown packaging paper
  • A pencil
  • Sticky tape

.... Yeah that's it, told you this was easy !  :)

1) Wrap your present as you would with any present and turn it out so the side with no tape on is facing up .

2) Use the pencil to sketch out the design for your bow, I've done step by step pictures of the design in the picture above :)

3) Draw over your pencil design in pen your black pen, take a few minutes to do this to make sure you don't slip and get pen everywhere :) And that's all done ! It looks really cute is a lot easier than messing about with ribbon for hours ! <3

Gift Guide for Family :)

Sheng Dan Kuai Le !              #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

A week or two ago I wrote a post called 'Gift Guide for Friends' ... I wont explain what it's about because I'm pretty sure you can work it out ;) Anyway so today I decided to do, as promised, a gift guide for family :) ... I think my next post or at maybe tomorrows might be wrapping Ideas now I've finished school so can wrap the rest of my presents really carefully and all pretty so check back for that because I've found some really cute Ideas :)

The Mother

Mums do a lot ... mums don't all that often get thanked for the a lot that they do, so I think Christmas is a good time to show your mum or your guardian just how grateful you are ( although I do recommend it all year round ) but sometimes they can be a bit difficult to buy for because you don't always know what they like and dislike as well as your close friends who you might go shopping with often :)

I love Acessorize, their products despite being expensive are always good quality and have a very vintage feel to them which I really like . They often have really nice scarves in which I think are great for a lot of mums because you can pick one that your mum will like and you know she can actually get some good use out of it so it's not going to just be left on the self after you've spent your money on it :) This scarf is the ' Feather plume Stole' which is only £12 and Is a lovely neutral colour so would go with a lot of coats , it's definitely my favourite in their collection right now <3

The Father

Daddy keychain, Fathers day Keychain, Personalized Keychain, Metal Keychain Hand Stamped, fathers day gift idea, I love you Daddy disc charmIn my gift guide for friends, I mentioned what a pain men seem to be to buy for, dads are the same ! To put it as Emma Blackery did, they really don't just want slippers every single year . I mean my dad seemed to cope just fine with it for the last 4 years of my life ... but I can see her point ;) I also mentioned a seller on Etsy called Roberta Valle whom makes personalised gifts from necklaces to guitar pick to bookmarks to keyrings which are all great quality :) I ordered part of my boyfriends Christmas present of there and was extremely happy with the products quality and how fast it got here !

The Little Brothers,Sisters, Nieces and Nephews !

Younger brothers and sisters usually want toys and have no problem with straight out telling you what they want .. but sometimes you want a few less expensive gifts to fill up their present or to put together to make one big present . These adorable stocking fillers off DotComGiftShop are perfect ! I love the glow in the dark rabbit for any little girl .. or grown up girl ... well I'd want one ;) and it's only £3.99 ! Or this Catapult set with foam balls £2.95 at  could keep younger siblings entertained for hours :)

The Aunties

I've always struggled with buying presents for my aunt because she has a lot of allergies but recently I've found that things like candles or earrings a sometimes much nicer, more personal presents to receive anyway :) I can't name a woman in my family ( or any men actually ) who doesn't like the Yankee Candle scents :) This year I'm loving 'Christmas Memories' and 'Snowflake Cookie' because ... well, Christmas ! I keep a Christmas candle in my room most of the year just to smell whenever I fancy a lil bit of Christmassy goodness in my life <3

The Uncles

Once again, DotcomGiftShop saves the day ! With their vintage, funny and original mens gifts you can't go wrong :) Whether it's Sudoku loo roll you're after or a quirky mug for only £3.95 then you don't need to look any further ! ;)

I hope that's helped you out a lil bit if you're struggling :) Let me know in the comments, what's the best Christmas present you've made or bought this year <3

Random Acts Of Kindness

Spraasnikam !                     #It'sSnowingInMyBubbleXx

13 Amazing Random Acts of Kindness To Make You Recover your Faith in Humanity (acts of kindness, faith in humanity) - ODDEE
A thoughtful random act of kindness that
I found somebody had done on Pinterest :)
Last week I wrote a post called 'All That Jazz' Which I recommend you read before this one if you want a bit of heart warming human goodness to inspire you to actually do something, something simple that somehow matters so so much, to make someone smile before Christmas <3 In that post I said that I'd like to do a post based about random acts of kindness, I might do a few of these with different ideas every now and again to see if together we could maybe sprinkle a lil bit of happy glitter over some strangers ( To make it clear, although glitter makes people happy, I do not recommend or in courage sprinkling it onto strangers because they might punch you in the face, the previous sentence was metaphorical... just in case someone is as easily distracted by the word glitter as me I had to say that to prevent any broken noses ;) )

So here are five random acts of Kindness that you could easily do ( Some without spending anything and some with so there's something whatever your financial state because kindness that doesn't cost the giver anything is just as valuable, never forget that <3

1) Leave a hopeful note somewhere, anywhere you like! Write something nice on a post it note, leave it somewhere for a stranger to find and although you might not see it I guarantee it will make them smile :) I have been promising a post of hopeful notes for ages but now I've got two weeks off, I'll definitely get it done ! I do take about the hopefuls and what it means to be a hopeful in this most here , I would really appreciate it if you took a look, that post means a lot to me :)

2) Tell a stranger in the que that you like her dress :) You might feel weird and like they'll think you're strange, but as long as you say it sincerely then they'll appreciate it and feel much more confident for the rest of the day :) You could also do this at the checkout by said you like the shop assistants hair or anything like that <3

3) Cook, bake or make something for a friend or family member that's not feeling great or just to add something to their day and remind them that you love them . We all assume people know we love them and maybe they do but everyone likes and needs a little reminder or your care every now and then !

4) Leave money ( £1-£2 ) , or just your change in the change part of a sweetie vending machine so that someone can buy themselves something :) I always remember as a kid always checking the change bit incase anyone had forgot , or for any sweets that accidentally got left in those machines you get in shopping centres or pubs where you put 20p in and turn the handle to make sweets come out ! You could buy some of those and leave them for a kid to find :)

5) If a friend feeling rubbishy or had a bad day and you're having one of those nights where you cant sleep, write that friend a paragraph once they've gone to sleep and text it them to wake to :) Whenever I've done this I'm always told that it's made their day and that in turn makes mine <3

If you have any other Ideas or try any of these out then comment and let me know, I might include them if I do another of these posts :) I'm going to set a challenge for you to go out and do one of these Random acts of kindness for someone within a week of reading this post so readyyyyy , get settt , GO !!!! ;)

I have a pinterest with a aboard where I pin any random acts of kindness Ideas I see so for more ideas you can follow that board which I'll link to here :)

DIY Disaster ...

Pozdrevlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva is Novim Godom !

I'm late on blogs and behind yet again... I catch up on three missed days and then just do the same thing again ! .... I fully accept that I'm an idiot ;) I came to my final conclusion of the extremity of exactly how much of an idiot I am, when I attempted to make this weeks DIY decoration... it was a really good, fool proof Idea where you wrapped glue soaked string around a balloon and sprinkled glitter on to make a bauble when you popped the balloon :) It went really well , right until the end where I learnt that if you glue string to a balloon and pop the balloon ... well it's pretty damn obviously the string will stay stuck to the balloon and not magically transform into a bauble ... well you'd think it was obvious ;)  On the brightside, if this DIY was fool proof then at least we can be certain that I am in fact no fool ! ... I think I must be some rare breed of lunatic that escaped from a zoo somewhere as a child ;)  But Here is my failed attempt and more pretty string decorations ... I might hang it on the tree and see if my mum pretends she likes it to save my feelings aha :)

Today's Merry Christmas in Russian and in Russia The role of Father Christmas was played by Dedushka Moroz or Grandfather Christmas. Babushka is another traditional Christmas figure who distributes presents to children. The word ''Babushka'' is translated to English as a grand-mother!

Fifteen Festive Favourites !

Vesele Vianoce !                             #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

Quite a while ago now, I was tagged by the absolutely amazing BeNiceItsTuesday to do the Fifteen Festive Favourites tag that was made originally by Carrie Hope Fletchers brother Tom . I have been waiting until the fifteenth of December to do it ... well because it kind of amused me that it was a fifteen question tag and I write it on the fifteenth ... but it's actually not all that amusing now I think about it aha :) Oh well <3

What's your favourite ...

1) Festive Food,
I love mince pies .. but only homemade ones because they're just extra nice, or maybe that's just the influence of the way too much brandy that my mum insists on adding to the mixture.. it probably is ;)

2) Reindeer...
I'm not sure if I'm allowed this answer but does anyone remember Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and The Island Of Misfit toys ? It was a really sweet Christmas film that I watched as a kid and in the film, Rudolf had a girlfriend called Clarice, that is really cute and I just love her :)

3) Christmas Song..
I'm pretty sure no one will of heard of this song but James Penguin by Brad Paisley has been stuck in my head on repeat since the end of November .. and I have absolutely no problem with that <3

4) Christmas Present ...
I'm pretty sure one year as a kid I got the Barbie castle from Barbie and the magic of Pegasus, I don't think I've ever played with anything so much as a child !

5) Christmas Film
Elf, Because " I like Smiling, Smiling's my favourite "

6) Christmas Cracker Toy ...
I always liked the marbles because the pretty swirly colours make me happy as I have a pretty similar mental state to that of a five year old ;)

7) Christmas Cracker Joke ...
How do elves greet each other ? Small world isn't it !

8) Christmas Decoration ..
I have a sweet little ceramic polar bear baubles that has a adorable scarf on it ^.^

9) Festive Candle Scent ...
Yankee candles are doing a salted caramel scented candle at the minute which is simply divine .. I'm not sure it counts as Christmassy, but it's good enough for me :)

10) Christmas Advert ...
I'm torn between the one with the penguins in ( I have no idea what shop it's advertising though ) and the Waitrose one where the girl bakes the cookies and it leaves me smiling every time I watch it

11) Day of Christmas..
This was meant to be further up the Tag but I apparently can't capably count to 11 .. there is no way I'm going to pass maths aha :) Anyways my favourite is the partridge in a pear tree ever since I watched Home Alone Two :)
12) Christmas Tradition ..
Every Christmas eve all our family friends come round for a few hours and my mum cooks a gorgeous buffet for everyone and then at five we all go to a Christmas Carol concert with my aunt which is really lovely because I don't see her all that often <3

13) Place to Spend Christmas ..
Wherever people are being positive and kind, especially kind because kindness is very important to me, even more so at Christmas !

14) Christmas Fact ...
Rudolf wasn't in the original 7 reindeers ... I guess Santa just had headlights fitted on his sleigh back then :)

15) Snowman Accessory ...
A Scarf ! I wouldn't want him getting cold now would I ? ;)

I Tag anyone who wants to do it to add a little Christmas happiness to the blogging world :)
Today's Merry Christmas is in Slovak ! In Slovakia they get Christmas gifts from baby Jesus which are left under the tree ... somebody should really keep an eye on that baby, letting it crawl into strangers houses isn't the safest thing to do aha :)

Reindeer Recipes ! :)

Nadolig Llawen                     #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

Reindeer cookies I promised, and reindeer cookies you'll get ! These would be really nice to decorate with a younger sibling or to make as quick gifts for friends or teachers :)

Reindeer Shortbread :)

What You'll Need :
  • 225g of Margarine
  • 110g of Caster Sugar
  • 225g of Plain Flour
  • 110g of Cornflour
  • Two Mixing Bowls
  • Spoons
  • Writing Icing Pens in Red and Black
  • Baking Trays
  • Round Cookie Cutter
  • Reindeer Cookie Cutter
  • Rolling Pin

1) Weigh out your margarine and caster sugar and cream them in a bowl until they're well mixed and have a white shine to them :)

2) Now weigh out your plain flour and cornflour and sift them into a bowl together to mix until the two flours are combined :)

3)  Then sift that mixture into your other mixture ( I'm not sure if this is the least or most complicated thing ever ? ) and then mix that mixture until you get a dough ball . You shouldn't eat the raw mixture but in case you're feeling badass like me, It's really yummy :)

4) Flour a surface and put your dough on the surface before rolling it out to bout 1.5 cm thick but make sure the rolling pin is floured or it will rip the dough ... basically flour everything , even your face ! ... Maybe not your face actually ;)

5) Now cut out as many shapes as you can of either reindeer or circles ( Don't worry if you don't have a reindeer one, the circle biscuits look equally cute if not more so :) ) and pop them on a baking tray and bake at 170 degrees for 20 mins !

6) Once your shortbread is cool it's time to decorate :) I've done step by step pictures for each design which are pretty self explanatory and writing icing is fairly easy to work with even if your hands arn't the most steady :)

Circle Shortbread :

 Reindeer Shortbread :

I hope your taste as yummy as mine did :) Let me know if you try making them, in the comments :)

Easy Gifts for Difficult People #2 ( Ice Cream Kit )

Feliz Navidad !                    #It'sSnowingInMyBubble

I really enjoy writing and doing DIY posts for this blog so today I'm delighted to post another DIY for my Blogmas mini series 'Easy Gifts For Difficult People' Today I made a ' Just add Ice cream kit ' because everyone loves Ice cream right ? But it always has to be chocolate flavour doesn't it ? If it's not chocolate then I don't want to know ;) Anywayyss this would do really well for anyone , family, friend and strangers a like :)

Just Add Ice Cream Kit !

What You'll need :
  • Ice cream waffle cones
  • Gold curling ribbon
  • Gold wrapping Box
  • Plastic Icing bag
  • Little Jam Jars ( 50p at Hobbycraft )
  • Ice cream sauce ( I used Chocolate and Toffee flavoured )
  • A Variety of Ice cream Sprinkles
  • Cellophane Bags
  • cellatape
  • Scissors
  • Basket/ Gift Box

1) That four of the waffle cones and put them into the icing bag, then tie a length of gold curling ribbon around the icing bag and curl the ribbons to erm .. make them curly aha :) Add more ribbons until it looks all pretty and add a bow to finish it off :) I also added a chalkboard label because I wanted to play with them .. and it looked cute :)

2) Next squeeze your toffee and chocolate sauce into the little jam jars ( Not both sauces into the same ones in case your as stupid as me ;) ) and pop them in the basket with the cones .

3) Take the cellophane bags and cut them in half. Take the part that still has the bottom bit of the bag in and pour some sprinkles into the mini bag :) Sellotape the top of the bag and then old the top over until you've got it folded down to the sprinkles and then sellotape the bag again just to make sure !

4) Repeat step 3 with the rest of your sprinkles :)

5) Finally just pop everything into the basket or gift box and it's as easy as that ! Perfect for anyone ... unless they're allergic to dairy ;)

Today's Merry Christmas is in Argentine, In Argentina after they toast on Christmas eve the adults dance whilst the children go out to see the fireworks :)
